Protecting Your Belongings

 

We understand that your valuables are important to you and we want to make sure they are protected during the entire painting process.  We will ask you to remove lightweight furniture and breakables from the work area.  Any items that are too bulky or heavy to move can remain in the area.  These items will be moved to the center of the room and covered with heavy-duty plastic.  Switchplate and outlet covers will be removed next.  We will protect your flooring with thick canvas dropcloths.

 

Surface Preparation

 

This step is extremely important to achieve a profesionally finished look.  We will find and spackle all nail holes.  Larger surface and corner damage will be corrected using joint compound and re-textured if necessary.  Gaps and cracks in wood work will be filled with caluking or wood-filler (depending on required finish).  If necessary, a quality stain-blocking primer will then be applied.

 

Paint Application

 

The topcoat application is the most exciting and rewarding part of your painting project.  We love to see each room transformed.  Even if you have chosen to simply apply a fresh coat of your room's existing color, it is amazing how refreshed and revitalized your newly painted room will look.  We apply two coats of quality paint to your interior walls.  Premier Painting utilizes brush and roller application to maximize the surface coverage and durability of your finished surface.  Trim, doors, and windows are painted with special enamel paints designed to increase durability on these frequently handled surfaces.
